These events bring together all members of the school community and also help raise money for the school. This money has been used in many ways, for example:

• to provide a much nicer playground, paying for garden equipment and some of the costs of the Islamic tiling project and the new gates.
• to pay for artists and musicians to work with classes on varied special projects.

A weekly parent-run bookclub, in the infant playground sells a wide range of quality books cheaply, while making a small profit for the school, and the twice yearly book fair has also provided over £2500 of new books for the school.

All parents, grandparents, carers, teachers and other staff at the school are automatically members of the PTA

and we hope you will want to get involved. We are not a clique! To welcome new parents and friends and provide a venue for socialising and a forum for new ideas we are going to have monthly Coffee Mornings. These will be on the last Friday of every month, in the Artroom, from 9am onwards. Donations of cakes gratefully received!.

Regular PTA meetings are advertised in the bulletin and in the infants’ playground. You can get involved by helping making food for events, selling juice and crisps, decorating the hall. Half an hour will often do.
If you have any ideas for events or any special help you can offer, but are unable to come to meetings, please leave a note in the PTA pigeon hole in the office.
