MUSIC

We have tutors for guitar, saxophone and violin, percussion, choral and steel pan.

Richard Peltier is a well known Steel pan artist and works in a number of selected schools.

Derek Gayle is teaching percussion.

Rachel Papworth our violin and saxophonist is training for a degree in music and also plays the piano. She will be working as a GTP in Rushmore from next September.

Mike Dodd is our guitar tutor and he works with a number of pupils. A lot of these tutors will be performing at out concert for Black History month.

We have a musical project in year 4 where all children will have an introduction to 5 musical instruments [ one each half term] with a performance to parents after a 6 week session with each instrument.
